** Naomi Owens

**Naomi’s journey has been nothing short of awesome, it’s about time she got rewarded for it… And if you are wondering what Naomi is holding…H&M Vouchers, her favourite shop!! (I’ve been told these have already been spent!) What are your health and fitness goals? To be as strong, lean and fit as possible and to keep challenging my body every day.

What made you join uFit? I was in a car accident in November 2010 and subsequently suffered with severe back pain for the next three years ; going from being relatively active to doing zero exercise. During this period I pretty much received every treatment option available from physio to acupuncture but with very little improvement.  I had my last round of physio at the end of 2013 and was advised to continue to strengthen my core and back muscles if I wanted to make as full a recovery as possible. What followed this advice was then a frantic Google search for possible ways this could be achieved somewhere relatively close to home, that’s when I stumbled across uFit and I haven’t looked back since.

What changes have you noticed since you started training with us? There have been noticeable changes in my body shape, but I feel the biggest change has been in respect of things that people can’t see, my mind-set, determination and attitude. It’s not just about getting stronger or even looking slimmer, although I must say these are both happy coincidences but challenging yourself week in week out to get through one more work out, even if its cold outside and you don’t feel like making the journey to the studio, even if you you’ve still got jelly legs from the day before and even if you’ve had a really long week at work and its only Wednesday. I’m also an awful lot more disciplined with my food choices; I’m not on a diet I just choose to eat differently and my body thanks me for it.

What would you say to anyone who is contemplating joining uFit? #justdoit….. Not only will you be amazed by just what you can achieve (or should I say endure), but leaving each session on a total high, albeit drenched in sweat will have you coming back for more. Coupled with the fact that you’re surrounded by a group of happy smiley people that most definitely have your back, encouraging you to bang out those last few reps, the uFit family will welcome you with open arms. It’s nothing like going to the gym and doing the same repetitive exercises; at uFit you never know what’s coming next, each session really mixes it up working different muscles in different ways and most of all its actually quite good fun!

What is the biggest tip(s) you would give someone looking to improve their health and wellness? All you need to do is believe that you can, and you’ll achieve whatever it is that you desire.  Don’t be too hard on yourself if you don’t see instant results. Your current body shape and size may have been “made with love” by years of overeating, lack of exercise etc so it might take a little while before you reverse the trend and fit back into those size 10 jeans. Just keep at it and you will get there! Totally ignore people that try to undermine your good work, those that have a go because you work out or eat too healthily. In all but extreme cases it pretty much impossible to have too much of a good thing. Those that feel the need to constantly comment and criticise probably wish they had the self-discipline and motivation that you‘ve got.

What one thing do you believe has made the greatest change to your health? Joining the uFit Family :relaxed:

What has been your best experience at uFit so far? Admittedly I’ve normally got the giggles throughout most of the bootcamp sessions I participate in as there have been quite a few.If I had to choose just one it would probably be taking part in the Colour Run 5K with the uFit team in September 2013 at the Olympic Park in London. It was a great day out and being covered head to toe in coloured powder alongside my fellow uFitter’s was an awesome experience (even if I did get lost for part of it)

It’s something I’ve always thought about. I’ve always been in relatively good shape from my sporting background, being fairly lean and pretty fit from all the exercise I’ve always done. This has allowed me to be quite open with the foods I used to consume. I’ve never eaten bad but I’ve also never restricted myself either as I never had to.

I’ve taken quite a few people through 12 week transformations and it’s been great to watch their development. I’ve also never gone through it as I’ve never had to which is why I decided to give it a go.

So there I am at Week one and the finished version is actually Week 8. I actually got to my goal a lot quicker so I decided to switch to a lean gain phase for the next few weeks.

I’d like to talk however about those 8 weeks and how difficult they were for me.

During this point I had just started 2 courses which were pretty involved, it was coming up to Christmas and I was working crazy hours, around 40-50 a week of personal training (not including the admin side of things).

It was difficult. I remember the first day, waking up, with my food prepped and getting out the door at 5:45am, training a client then hitting the cardio. It was a long week.

I may be a pt but I still have the same underlying issues as most people. I love food, going out and being able to enjoy myself but during the 8 weeks it wasn’t going to stop me.

I still went out to restaurants but I would eat before and after, not during. I’d sit there and either not eat anything or ask for a plain salad, no dressings.

Time was tough. The sessions were extremely intense and I’d work my butt off every single day. No excuses. I trained 5 x a day, sometime twice a day to hit some cardio up and to be in deficit of my calories to elicit fat loss and it worked a treat.

Things were adjusted week by week depending on my results but they were pretty consistent.

I trained hard, ate the right foods, didn’t eat anything off my plan and followed protocol.

It’s not rocket science. Now i’m not saying everyone has to live like that in order to get results but hard work has to be a staple of those weeks. You have to mentally and physically prepare yourself for the dedication, time and commitment that is needed for serious results.

It’s not about eating well most of the time and falling back once or twice a week in this instance. It’s about a 100% dedication to detail.

And if you follow that, your results will come!

** Louize

Louize won the 21 day challenge and was awarded with a years FREE membership to bootcamp! Needless to stay she was pretty excited…Listen to Louize’s story and hopefully you’ll draw some inspiration from it .

What are your health and fitness goals? My main health and fitness goal is to make lifestyle changes rather than quick fixes – no fad diets etc! To be conscious of making better choices to ensure my goals are long-term focused.

What made you join uFit? I originally joined uFit in Jan2014 after a few friends had joined and commented on how good the sessions were. After the first session I needed no convincing! Family and work commitments prevented me from attending as much as I would have liked in 2014. Partaking in the 21 day fat loss challenge in March 2015 gave me the opportunity to focus on nutrition and exercise – long enough to notice changes and realise that long term commitment could see real results

What changes have you noticed since you started training with us? Us women do love to see results when we stand on the scales or take our measurements and this is something I have focused far too much on over the years. The biggest change I have noticed since joining uFit is my mind-set.  I am more aware of food choices and the importance of rest as well as appreciating the need to give 100% to training for those 45 minutes out of my day!

What would you say to anyone who is contemplating joining uFit? The one thing I admire with uFit is there are no gimmicks involved! Results can be seen from past and present members. The trainers are committed to each member – techniques are corrected, advice is given and certainly no slacking allowed!

What is the biggest tip(s) you would give someone looking to improve their health and wellness? Knowledge is key! Understand what needs to change, what are the long term goals and what short term measurable goals which will keep you on track and motivated along the way. Understand nutrition properly – it’s a massive health and wellness tool and one that is overlooked to frequently. Have a routine – easier said than done at times but having a food prep day and set training days ensures short and long term goals can be met Talk to and listen to your trainer! Take all the help and advice offered from the experts.

What one thing do you believe has made the greatest change to your health? The 21 day fat loss challenge was a big eye opener to me. Regular training and nutrition planning resulted in me seeing a drop in body fat, weight and cm’s in the very first 7 days

What are your health and fitness goals?

To lose weight, regain my confidence in my body and start to feel healthy again

What made you join uFit?

Sam Beagle, the man himself. On our consult he seemed pretty confident, showed interest in my motives and really wanted to understand where I come from and where I'm heading and I could feel from his knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment that uFit will be the right choice.

What changes have you noticed since you started training with us?

Well, I feel more energetic, my body has started to transform from a wobbly surface to a more toned one and I feel a great deal better in my skin generally.

When I first was able to do proper push-ups. Not on the knee, not just dropping down 1 inch, full proper push-ups. It didn't actually take as long as I thought it would be to get there.

What would you say to anyone who is contemplating joining uFit?

Don't contemplate, just do it!

What is the biggest tip you would give someone looking to improve their health and wellness?

Remember, that the smallest progress is progress, value it, learn and build from it. Step by step, brick by brick you will get where you want to if you stay committed, consistent and put in the hard work

What one thing do you believe has made the greatest change to your health?

Change of mind-set. I went from a "that's too hard, I will never be able to do that" person into a "I won't stop trying until I have done it" person. All is in the mind, you need to fight your old self in your mind first.
